When it comes to celebrating the success of a film at the box office, especially, when it involves one of the bigger stars in the industry, Kollywood doesn’t believe in holding back.
However, this time, it looks like the Ajith-starrer Mankatha, which will be completing the much coveted 100-day mark in the next few days, will not be witnessing any grand celebration of sorts.
The reason for this lack of hullabaloo seems to be the fact that the film’s lead actor Ajith, is generally reluctant to attend public functions and it wouldn’t be appropriate to conduct a success meet without the presence of the film’s hero, according to Dhayanidhi Alagiri, the producer of the film.
The producer wrote on his social networking website, “Ajith sir won’t attend any public functions. So there is no use of keeping a 100th day function for Mankatha without the hero himself.”
We hear that the while actor’s fans had been requesting Dhayanidhi to hold a grand celebration to mark the day, he has chosen to keep things real.
